End of The Week

Good afternoon. I made it thru another Friday. I am still recovering from a fall in my kitchen last friday and the laceration on my head caused by a door frame.

This was a fairly slow week starting out but yesterday was a very positive, get it done day. I caught all my bills up to date, dropped a couple of checks in  the mail, went Krogering, took Jean to dinner last night, missed the Wednesday group, received Earl's doggy car seat from Amazon (I haven't installed it yet), washed the dishes, put all the dirty clothes in the hamper and finally, watched the "Chili Bowl" sprint car races from Tulsa Oklahoma.

You'll see me mention Jean Edison. She goes by her given name Loretta but I've known her since the mid 80's as Jean. She and I have been hanging out together lately going out to eat, to the Church of the Harvest, to the movies, to her family's annual catfish dinner in Shiloh, and to a wonderful Christmas Night celebration at her house. We are both widowed and live about 2 blocks from each other. I really, really enjoy her company. She is a sweet christian woman.

My family is divided between the Memphis area and the Nashville area. I have 2 daughters, a grand daughter and a great grand daughter & son. I graduated from Germantown High School in 1967. I was in the Navy from 1968 till 1974. I traveled extensively. I started working as an electrician when I was discharged and stuck with that trade till I retired in 2023.

I have a Bucket List to complete before I go home to be with God. I've had to cut it back a little due to spine and knee issues. But it will be interesting. I have a dog named "Earl from Olive Branch". I bowed to pressure from my 2 daughters and bought Earl in a second hand store in Ashland City, TN, last December.  That's him on  the front of the blog. I'll be entering his comments in this blog as well.

Enough said about that. Anyone reading this is welcome to comment, complain, object or ignore. Earl and I are Equal Opportunity Bloggers.
